Accessibility statement
How well this website works for everyone, how we tested it, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us about a problem.
Last updated 19 October 2026
This statement covers www.dataface.uk, the website of Dataface Ltd. We want everyone who visits it to be able to read it, find their way around and get in touch, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It’s the standard we build our clients’ websites to.
On this site you should be able to:
- find your way around and use our contact form with a keyboard alone, and always see where you are on the page;
- zoom in to 400% without text spilling off the screen or needing to scroll sideways;
- increase the spacing of text without anything being cut off;
- turn on reduced motion in your device settings and have animation stop.
How we tested it
We tested the site ourselves on 19 October 2026, before it went live.
- Automated checks. We ran axe-core, a widely used accessibility checker, on 28 pages at phone and laptop sizes, in Chromium (the engine behind Chrome and Edge) and WebKit (the engine behind Safari). It found no failures.
- Keyboard tests. In Chromium and WebKit, we used the keyboard alone to go through the skip link, the cookie banner, the menus on desktop and phone, and the contact form, including its error and success messages.
- Zoom, spacing and contrast. We checked every page at 320 pixels wide, which is the same as 400% zoom on a laptop. We also checked wider text spacing, worked out the contrast of every text colour we use, and measured every link and button.
As part of our release checks, we run axe and a keyboard focus check again on 15 key pages in both engines.
We haven’t yet tested the site with a screen reader (such as VoiceOver, NVDA or TalkBack) or with voice control, and disabled people haven’t tested it for us yet. Until we have, we can’t be sure it works well with those tools.
What we know isn’t right yet
- Screen readers and voice control. Not yet tested, as above.
- Repeated link text. On our Work page, each case study ends in a “Read the case” link. A screen reader’s list of links hears those words several times without saying which case each one opens.
- Small breadcrumb links. The links in the trail above each page title are about 26 pixels tall. That meets the WCAG minimum of 24 pixels, but it’s smaller than the 44 pixels we aim for.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this site doesn’t work for you, or you need its content in another format, please tell us:
- email info@dataface.uk;
- phone 07570 663 661;
- use our contact form;
- write to Dataface Ltd, 6th Floor Gordon Chambers, 90 Mitchell Street, Glasgow G1 3NQ.
Tell us the page address and what went wrong. We reply within one working day. If we can’t fix the problem quickly, we’ll get you the information another way.
What we’re doing next
We’ll test the site with VoiceOver and NVDA, fix the problems listed above, and update this statement when we do.
About this statement
We prepared this statement on 19 October 2026, from our own tests that day. We’ll review it at least once a year, and whenever we make a significant change to the site.
