Bespoke software · Glasgow

Bespoke software that fits how you work

When off-the-shelf software nearly fits, your team pays the difference every day. We’re a Glasgow software development company: we build custom systems around how you actually work, connect them to what you already use, and add AI where it earns its place.

What we build

Integrations

Accounting, CRM, ERP, warehouse and Shopify systems connected and looked after, so nobody rekeys data.

Websites

Marketing websites where visitors don’t need to log in, designed, built and looked after by the same team.

When off-the-shelf nearly fits

You bought the software because it said it did everything you need. Then the workarounds start:

  • you use a fraction of the features, and pay for all of them
  • the fields don’t match your process, so data gets entered twice
  • someone keeps spreadsheets going to fill the gaps
  • connecting it to your other systems is impossible, or costs extra

Bespoke software is built around how your business really runs: screens and steps that follow your workflow, fields that match what your team needs, and direct connections to the systems you already have instead of exporting and importing files. When a process changes, the software changes with it, with no new licence and no starting again.

Up front, it usually costs more than a subscription. Over three years, often not, once you add up the subscription, the workarounds and the extra integrations, against a one-off build you own. We estimate the payback before you commit, and show you the sums. Sometimes off-the-shelf is cheaper, and then we’ll say so.

Is the spreadsheet already the system?

If the business runs on a shared spreadsheet that only one person fully understands, start here: running the business from spreadsheets.

How we work

  1. A free call

You tell us the problem. We tell you honestly whether bespoke software is the answer.

  2. Process mapping

We watch how your team really works, and note the workarounds and the “we wish it could…” moments.

  3. A fixed price

Agreed before we start, so there’s no hourly billing.

    From £8,000
  4. Working software every two weeks

You click on it, test it with your real workflow and steer.

  5. You own it

The code, the data and the infrastructure access, handed over at every milestone.

  6. We stick around

Changes, fixes and new features when you need them.

Software we’ve built and run

Live

WagePerks

An HR and benefits platform on web, iPhone and Android, built and run for our sister company.

Live

A field operations portal

For a commercial cleaning contractor: fleet, customer sites, jobs, timekeeping, stock and PPE in one system, built around how its teams work.

AI in your software

Most AI work sits on top of ordinary software. Once your data lives in a proper system, AI can read your documents, draft your replies and answer questions about the business.

How we host and secure what we build

We build and run on AWS every day, mostly in the London region, and we can host what we build for you.

  • Encryption by default. In transit and at rest, with secrets kept out of the code in a managed, encrypted store.
  • Least-privilege access. Each person and each application gets only the access it needs.
  • Backups that work. Automatic backups, with restores tested rather than assumed.
  • Monitoring. Alerts when something goes wrong, and support in UK working hours.

You pay AWS’s own charges for what you use, plus a monthly fee for us to look after it. Or we hand the AWS account over and you run it yourself. We work as your data processor under a written data processing agreement, and we’ll help with your DPIA. See how we handle security and data, or ask us for an independent code and security review.

What we build with

Python and Flask, PostgreSQL and MySQL, React Native for mobile, and AWS for hosting, mostly in London. Plain, well-supported tools that any good developer can pick up after us. The detail, and how long builds take, is on full-stack software development.

Questions

How much does bespoke software cost?

See the price table. Most projects fall between £8,000 and £75,000, depending on scope. You get a fixed quote after the first call.

How long does it take?

We agree the timeline with your fixed price, before any work starts. Small tools are quicker than full systems, and you see working software every two weeks.

How is this different from configuring off-the-shelf software?

Configuring means choosing from the options a vendor offers. Bespoke means building what you need, even when nobody offers it.

Can it connect to our existing systems?

Yes. If a system has an API, a database or an export, we can connect to it, from modern cloud tools to older databases. See integrations.

Where will our data be?

On AWS, mostly in the London region. Storage location and processing location aren’t the same thing, so we tell you both, in writing.

What happens if we stop working with you?

You own the software, the source code and the access. Take it to another developer, run it yourself, or keep working with us.

One paragraph is enough: where your current software gets in the way. We’ll reply with honest thoughts on whether bespoke software is the answer, and what it would cost.
